Mexican Painted Gourd Maracas

Vintage Mexican Painted Gourd Maracas. A sweet little set of handmade and hand
painted maracas in a lovely shade of pearlized purple each with stylized hand
painted figures on them. These maracas are made from dried hollowed gourd with
seeds inside to make the sound, with added carved wooden handles. They make the
most sweetest sounding music, very rhythmic and soothing.
This set is in very nice vintage condition, some age scratches, scuffs and
scrapes, still very attractive.
They measures approximately 6” inches long and 2” inches at the widest point
on the gourds. They would be a fabulous addition for small music group, added
to a collection of ethnic musical instruments or displayed in a collection of
vintage Mexican Folk Art or put with Mexican pottery.
